Why is your counseling practice named twelfth house?
The name twelfth house refers to the twelfth and final house of the astrological birth chart. It gives insight regarding elements of one’s spirituality, including transitions, release, dreams, and mental health. The twelfth house is likewise called the house of the hidden world and the unconscious. In the twelfth house one can locate their deepest psychological fears and desires, and work through them, so that the weaknesses that they bring can be made harmless.
While astrological services are not offered at twelfth house counseling and I do not center my therapeutic modality around astrology—I took inspiration from the practice, as I consider it a tool for self-reflection—helping in the journey to self-actualization, healing, and self-compassion.
